AKRON, Ohio, Sept. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Junior League of Akron is excited to announce it will host its fourth Early Bird Bustle 5K and Family Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, October 29, 2017, starting at St. Vincent-St Mary High School, (15 N Maple St, Akron OH 44303) winding along the Cascade Valley Park system and industrial Akron. The 5K race begins at 9:00 a.m., with the Kidz Fun Run starting at 10:00 a.m.
Following the run comes the fun! Join us for the Family Fall Festival from 9 am-12 noon for $5, which includes face-painting, pumpkin decorating, corn-hole and more! We encourage runners or family/friends to wear your Halloween costumes! Tickets can be purchased the day of the race.
Proceeds of the run will support The Junior League of Akron's Kids in the Kitchen community project, a program designed to help address urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition, by educating both children and their families. Proceeds will also benefit community outreach efforts and volunteer training for Junior League of Akron members.
